The Conference of the American Translation and Interpreting Studies Association is held every two years in the spring of even-numbered years.
2018 ATISA conference at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee
The ninth biennial ATISA conference will be held March 29 – April 1, 2018 at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. The conference theme is Contexts of Translation and Interpreting and the call for papers is now available here. The conference organizers welcome submissions of individual papers and panels using the online portal listed in the call for papers. The deadline for submission of proposals is October 17, 2017.
We are also pleased to announce the keynote speakers for the upcoming conference are Sherry Simon (Concordia University) and Federico Federici (University College London). Additional information about the conference will be posted as it becomes available.
Applications to Host ATISA Conference Welcome
ATISA welcomes applications for hosting future ATISA conferences from qualified institutions. Potential conference organizers should submit a proposal to the ATISA President by email. Please first read the information under Conference Committee Information below; read the Scientific Committee link and address all of the points in the Guidelines for Selection of Conference Venues.
