Salary will be on the University’s Research and Teaching Grade, level 8/9, £44,045 – £51,034/£52,560 – £59,135 per annum.

The School of Modern Languages & Cultures is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer / Lecturer (Translation Studies) to develop, lead and sustain research and scholarship of international standard and contribute to the delivery of an excellent student experience by delivering, organising and reviewing agreed teaching, assessment and administration processes to enhance learning and teaching in the School of Modern Languages & Cultures.

Qualifications Required

Grade 8: Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 12 [PhD] or equivalent in related discipline with a growing reputation for scholarship within the subject area. Membership of relevant professional body, where appropriate.

Grade 9: Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 12 [PhD] or equivalent in related discipline with an extensive and established reputation in research and significant teaching experience within the discipline/subject area.
